Two weeks ago, Interior Minister Aryeh Deri and members of the Knesset Shas faction spent a day touring the Jordan Valley. The tour began at the town of “Mevo’ot Yericho”, which was approved about six months ago at a government meeting held in the Jordan Valley, and recently received an official emblem from the Interior Ministry. Participants planted a tree in the Yishuv and then continued to a strategic outlook over the Jordan Valley near the historic site of Sartaba. The group was accompanied by South Hebron regional council chairman Yohai Dimri, Hebron administration chief Rabbi Hillel Horowitz, mayor of Emmanuel Eliyahu Gaffney, Amana chairman Ze'ev Hever and Yesha Council CEO Yigal Dilmoni. Toward the end of the tour Minister Deri said: "We have come here to inform the entire whole world that we are in our ancestral homeland, this land belongs to us, it is ours that we are settling. With the help of God from here we reinforce Prime Minister Netanyahu who is on a historic mission together with our true friend, the president of the United States, Donald Trump".
