At the Supreme Planning Council that met at the beginning of the month, 3,426 new housing units were approved in Judea and Samaria. Of these, 2,402 units were designated for two construction plans in Ma'ale Adumim, including 1,294 units for an assisted living project. An additional 330 units were approved in the community of Kedar in Gush Etzion, and 694 units were approved for in their final stage in Efrat. Yesha Council Chairman Shlomo Ne'eman welcomed the decision and noted that after a long period of time in which the Planning Council did not meet, the continuation of construction in Judea and Samaria during these difficult times is "the most appropriate Zionist answer". We thank Prime Minister Netanyahu, the Minister of Finance and a Minister in the Ministry of Defense, Bezalel Smotrich, Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant, Minister of Land Development and Israel National Projects, Orit Strook, and the teams in the Judea/Samaria Administration in the Ministry of Defense and the Civil Administration for putting the communities of Judea and Samaria at the forefront towards historical injustices and strengthening sovereignty in the region. We at the Yesha Council continue to work with the ministers to approve additional housing units that are awaiting approval, so that construction activity in Judea and Samaria does not stop.
