The time has come for sovereignty over the Jordan Valley!

Last week, the Knesset saw the launch of the Lobby for the Application for Sovereignty over the Jordan Valley, headed by Members of Knesset Dan Illouz (Likud) and Yossi Taieb (Shas), in collaboration with the Sovereignty Movement.

During the course of the launch, Shira Livman, C.E.O. of the Yesha Council, said, “We are in the midst of a historic moment with the strong right-wing government and broad support from the opposition and the coalition to exercise sovereignty over the Jordan Valley. The time has come to begin taking action regarding the matter, and sooner rather than later would be preferable. We thank the ministers, and members of Knesset from the coalition and the opposition, who have come to show their support and sign the declaration.

A special thank you to the heads of the lobby, MKs Dan Illouz from the Likud, and Yossi Taieb from Shas, to Nadia Matar and Yehudit Katsover for leading the way for us, and to the heads of the authorities, David Elhayani, Head of the Jordan Valley Regional Council, and Aryeh Cohen, Head of the Megilot Regional Council.”

At the launch, Knesset ministers, and Knesset members of the coalition and the opposition signed a declaration that calls for wide cooperation regarding the matter.
