Higher Planning Council approves 5,700 new housing units

At a meeting convened on 26th June, 2023, the Higher Planning Council approved the building of approximately 5,700 housing units across Judea and Samaria, under the auspices of the Israeli Civil Administration.
Of the approved units, 818 units were granted approval for validation (the final stage), comprising 359 units in Elkana, 381 units in Revava, 29 units in Givat Ze’ev, 42 units in Carmel, and seven units in Hermesh.
4,195 units were approved for depositing (the first stage), which include the partial list below of units to be built in the following communities:
Eli - 1,563 units, Ariel - 98 units, Givat Ze’ev - 714 units, Ma’ale Adumim - 340 units, Beitar Illit - 312 units, Adora - 310 units, Ets Efraim - 264 units, Ma’ale Amos - 152 units, Asfar - 78 units
Shlomo Ne’eman, Mayor of the Gush Etzion Regional Council and Chairman of Yesha, said that “On behalf of all the residents of Judea and Samaria, I would like to thank the Israeli government for continuing to develop the Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria. In these difficult times, especially, this is the most fitting Zionist solution to all who seek our assistance. The Yesha Council will continue to work with ministers and planning authorities in order to proceed with the construction work in Judea and Samara.”
